This is lovely. I was a little unsure where you were going with this, given the listed pairings but I really like where you did. I love that you didn't demonize anyone, that what happened, happened because time passed and people move on, even if you're very much in love with them. While I like the Robinson Crusoe-type adventure fics, I'm glad that you didn't go into minute detail about every aspect of John & Rodney on Planet Nowhere - just enough to show that time passed and it wasn't easy without bogging us down in details.
I thought it was interesting that both Kim and Jennifer assumed that John & Rodney would sleep with each other; I guess it comes from them both knowing that Rodney is in John's heart first... and from Jennifer's POV that if Rodney had known of John's interest, she wouldn't have had a chance. In many ways, I feel like she didn't give up on Rodney by having another man's child, so much as bowed to the inevitable of knowing that the situation John & Rodney found themselves in really did mean the end of her relationship with Rodney, even if Rodney refused to admit it.
Great to see Atlantis back in Pegasus and that Teyla and Kanaan, Jinto and Halling and the other Athosians are around and thriving. Also fabulous to see Ronon still working with Atlantis, even without Rodney, John and Teyla and to see Lorne in charge and Zelenka in charge of science. I'm glad in the end that John & Rodney got their happy ending and are back were they belong on Atlantis. Lovely fic!
