All these shows with worlds where people can eat the food - hell, recognize what is edible - are so unbelievable. Stargate handwaves it that the Ancients terraformed these worlds, which fine, I can accept it, but once I posed that they were somewhere the Ancients hadn't been, the age old science fiction difficulty was right back there at the forefront. I pushed the realm of believability in having them be able to get any nurishment at all.
