Yeah, they were dead, just lost, and they weren't in Pegasus, so they don't get a gold star on their SGC get out dead cards. Poor bastards, always the unloved stepchildren, in canon and in the reality of the shows.

It had to be five years - anything less and it would be very grey area on their SOs moving on.
