This was lovely and painful and slow (in the good way). I was surprised by how much I liked Kim, and how much of a punch in the gut his last conversation with John was. I was expecting Rodney talking to Jennifer to hurt (perhaps because you let us know that beforehand so we're anticipating it), but I wasn't expecting that.
Thank you for writing a fic in which characters could very reasonably choose to cheat on their spouses, know their spouses would be okay with it, know they would be okay with it--heck, even I would be okay with it and adultery in fic generally makes me want to troll or flame or bash characters' heads in--and they don't. That's a level of honor that we don't often allow our characters to have, I think.
Aaaaand, I am super ADD right now and have work to do so I will stop here. In summary: yay! Great fic!
