This was so good, so good! I never expected to read a story where Rodney and John don't end up together and not be at least a little heartbroken, but the moment before they took their ill-fated jumper flight, it was ok, and I was happy for them both.
In some ways, it feels like they really grew up in this story; I don't know if that makes sense, but both John and Rodney and Jennifer--they feel like real adults, in a way that's not about giving up on something but that's embracing what you do have, and it's such a different and wonderful kind of story. Really liked it!
