Ooh, I love Man Vs. Nature (and I have a sneaking fondness for Man Vs. His GI Tract too). That part was awesome.

I like how you played your emotional tones too--I feel like this story could easily have been "rip your heart out and stomp on it," and that would have worked fine for the content, but I liked "weary and sad" better. Nice job.
